Library Rules

  • All students and staff of the college are members of the library.No outsider is allowed to enter the library without prior permission of the Principal or Librariaan.

  • The library functions from 9am to 5 pm on all working days.

  • All users will be admitted in the library and reading room only on production of identity cards.

  • Students are allowed to take only one notebook in the library.

  • UG students can take two books and PG students can take three books at a time.Renewal of books will be allowed only once.Books in the reference section will not be lent out.

  • The period of loan is 14 days for UG and PG students.Books may be re-issued for a further period of 14 days if there is no other demand for them.Absence from the college will not be accepted as an excuse for delay in the return of books.The librarian may recall any book at any time evan before the due date.

  • A fine of Rs.1/-per day will be charged against students who return books after the due date.

  • Borrowers are responsible for the loss or damage of books taken out on loan or for consultation by them.The marking of books in links or with pencil,spoiling or injury to binding,underlining of passages, writing of remarks,etc.on the leaves of the books or on illustrations,tearing off pages,pictures etc.will be held to be serious charges.

  • Students shall not exchange books borrowed from the library.

  • A book in great demand is issued for overnight use only.

  • There is a provision to reserve a book.

  • Students must clear their dues before they receive their hall tickets for the university examination at the termination of their academic course or before they receive their transfer certificate,if they leave before the completion of their academic course.

  • All users must observe total silence in the library and its enviorns at all times.

  • Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited in the library.

  • Books and computers should be handled with care.

  • Users should not re-shelve the referred books which lead to misplacement of books. Such books may be left on the nearest table and it will be shelved by the Library Staff.

  • Complaints and suggestions relating to services from the library shall be given in writing to the principal.
